Rubinstein was the principal owner of the company, and Rob Barnaby was the sole author of the early versions of the program. A journalist, I started off with WordStar 3.3, I think it was, using it on an Epson PX-8, with CP/M system, in 1984, and used it on that machine for the next five years, while also later using an Epson PC Portable (weighing 6.5Kgs!) with WordStar 3.45 for PC's. The 3.0 version of WordStar for DOS was released in 1982. WordStar is a word processor application for microcomputers.
